A 35-year-old man was fined at Roscommon District Court for a public order offence.
Kevin Carberry, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to being intoxicated to such an extent as would give rise to a reasonable apprehension that he might endanger himself or any other person in his vicinity.
The offence happened on July 5th, 2026, on the Racecourse Road, Roscommon Town.
Garda Sgt Mark Mahon gave Judge Mary McAveety evidence of arrest, charge and caution, and explained that the accused wished to take a certain course of action.
“He’s trying to get back on track,” the sergeant said.
The court handed down a fine of €200 with three months to pay.
