New York's arrangement with Connacht GAA, which sees teams from the province make the trip to the Big Apple on a rota basis, will continue for the next five years.
Connacht GAA Secretary, John Prenty, confirmed to the on Saturday afternoon that New York will host Sligo in next year's provincial championship.
After Roscommon's trip to New York earlier this year, there had been speculation that the trip might be discontinued over increased costs for travelling teams, but the Rossies will now return Stateside in 2031, after which the arrangement will, once again, be reviewed.
Roscommon defeated New York by 5-22 to 1-10 in April on their way to winning the Connacht championship.
The draw for the 2027 championship will be held on November 19th.
With Sligo in New York and Leitrim in London, Roscommon could potentially face a provincial quarter-final against Mayo or Galway.
