Five County Roscommon producers selected for Food Awards finals

The award winning Waldron Family Meats company is based in Brideswell in South Roscommon.
Five County Roscommon producers have made it through to the final stages of Blas na hÉireann, the Irish Food Awards 2025.
The finalists come from a wide range of categories and are as follows: Do Me A Flavour, Monksland; Healthy Bake Ltd., Castlerea; Noble Ice Cream, Castlerea; Oliver Carty & Family, Monksland, and Waldron Family Meats, Brideswell.
Noble Ice Cream are first time finalists, while Waldron Family Meats, Oliver Carty & Family and Do Me A Flavour will be looking to build off their strong performances in last year’s finals, as the producers picked up awards at last year’s finals.
Judging took place between May and July and was scored by a network of experts, selecting the top entries from each category.
Louise Ward, Head of Enterprise, Roscommon, praised the producers from the county, “We are delighted to see that five very high quality producers are through to the final stages.”
She added, “I really understand and appreciate all the hard work and dedication that these companies do on a day to day basis, constantly improving their offerings to a seriously high standard. Roscommon is lucky to have them. I wish them every success at Blas and throughout their journeys. They are the core of job creation and putting Ireland on the food map.”
This year’s finals will take place in Dingle, Kerry between Thursday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 5th.
