Free entry to Boyle Abbey to mark Bealtaine Festival

There will be free admission to Boyle Abbey on Friday, May 23rd for all senior citizens as part of an Office of Public Works (OPW) programme of events and initiatives for the Bealtaine Festival.
The initiative aims to encourage all senior citizens to get out and engage with their cultural heritage and avail of the OPW’s curated and engaging visitor experiences as part of the Bealtaine Festival- “Celebrating Arts and Creativity as We Age”.
Speaking at the recent programme launch, Minister of State for the Office of Public Works, Kevin 'Boxer' Moran said: “The OPW is delighted to collaborate with Age and Opportunity on this initiative. It is wonderful to see the wide range of events that our sites have on offer to support the Bealtaine Festival.”
Meanwhile at Parkes Castle, County Leitrim a peaceful chair yoga session in its serene surroundings is planned, while Sligo Abbey will host a lively sing-along with The Cloister Boys as well as tours to meet different levels of mobility.
