Gardai issue witness appeal after man found with serious injuries

Gardai are carrying out investigations.

Gardaí are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man with serious injuries in Drumlish, Co Longford on Saturday, 8th November.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on that date, the man aged in his 60s was taken by ambulance to Mullingar General Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.

A technical examination was carried out at the scene.

The last known movements of the man were at Currabawn at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 5th November.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Currabawn/Mohill road, Drumlish area between 7:00pm on Wednesday, 5th November 2025 and 6:30pm on Saturday, 8th November are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
