Hottest April day ever in County Roscommon

County Roscommon has recorded its warmest ever April day today (Wednesday) with official temperatures reaching 25 degrees.
Today’s temperature beats the previous official record, 22.3 degrees, which was recorded yesterday at the Mount Dillon weather station.
Irish temperatures across the country are set to hit new highs nationally for an April day.
The April record of 25.8 degrees, which was recorded in Glenties, Co Donegal in 1984, is set to be surpassed, according to Met Éireann.
