Ice warning extended for County Roscommon

Temperatures in the county dropped to minus 3.3 yesterday.

Met Éireann’s weather station at Mount Dillon recorded the temperature at 5.00 am on Sunday morning.

A ‘Status Yellow - Low Temperature/Ice warning’ remains in place for Counties Roscommon, Galway, Cavan, Monaghan, Leinster, and Munster until tomorrow morning at 9 am.

Met Éireann said that temperatures could fall between -1 and -3 degrees generally. It is warning of sharp frost and icy stretches, black ice, leading to treacherous travel conditions.

A 'Status Yellow - Snow-Ice' warning is in place for Counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo until 9 am tomorrow.
