Iconic band announced for Boyle music festival

The Boomtown Rats are coming to Boyle.

The Boomtown Rats, an iconic band in the seventies and eighties, will be one of the headlines acts at this year’s Night and Day music festival at Lough Key Forest Park.

Originally formed in Dublin, the rock/new wave band, fronted by Bob Geldof, had a series of Irish and UK hits between 1977 and 1985, including ‘Rat Trap’ and ‘I Don't Like Mondays’.

Scottish rock band, Big Country will also be among the headline acts.

Now in its fifth year, takes, Night and Day takes place from May 29th-31st.
