Judge issues warning to Longford man

“You get one chance here and you don’t get a second,” Judge James Faughnan told a Longford man after he fined him €250 and disqualified him from driving for two years at Strokestown District Court.

David Lakatos, Apartment 2A Midland Court, Longford, was stopped by Garda James Gallagher on July 16th last at Ballytoohey, Roscommon and found not to have insurance.

The court heard he is the father of four children and looking for work at the moment and needs his licence. He had not been driving but took a risk on this particular day.

The judge imposed the fine and driving ban while also issuing a warning to the defendant.
