Large crowds are expected to descend from all corners of the country for the Irish National Sheepdog Trials being held in Brideswell over three days.

Taking place from Thursday to Saturday, August 7th, 8th and 9th, the trials will be held on the lands of Lisbrock farmer Barra O’Brien.

Barra last hosted the national event back in 2013, a competition which involves the best dogs and handlers in Ireland.

Over the three days on the South Roscommon farm, there will be plenty of activities too for families including face painting, balloon making and dog training with geese!

Food vendors will also be on site along with an ice-cream van.
