Late Detective Garda Colm Horkan remembered on sixth anniversary

The late Detective Garda Colm Horkan, who was killed in the line of duty six years ago today (June 17th) in Castlerea, is being remembered.

In a social media message, Antoinette Cunningham, former General Secretary Association of Garda Sergeants & Inspectors and retired Garda Inspector, said: “Remembering Detective Garda Colm Horkan who was murdered on duty on this night six years ago after he went to assist colleagues in Castlerea, Roscommon.

“May we always remember those brave gardai gone before us who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this State. May he RIP," she said.
