A Limousin cross heifer calf sold for an eye-watering €30,000 in Carrick-on-Shannon earlier today.
The 345kg Limousin cross heifer calf was owned by Derrick Forde from Corrandulla, County Galway.
The Winter Fair in Carrick-on-Shannon is noted for achieving high prices and the price achieved earlier today, Monday, is one of the highest on record.
