A commemorative plaque in recognition of Brigadier Lawrence James Lohan was unveiled recently at his birthplace in Tryhill, Ballinamore Bridge, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.
The plaque also honours his son Colonel Edward Logan, who gave his name to Logan international Airport in Boston.
Pictured above are James McDonnell, Jimmy Lohan, Eileen Lohan, Phoebe Lohan, Hughie Lohan, Hugh Lohan and Annie McDonnell, all descendents of the Brigadier General.
