Male arrested following complaint from female public representative
Gardai have detained a male under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the North Western Region.
Gardaí in the North Western Region, who are investigating a complaint made by a female public representative in the West of the country, have arrested a male in this 20s today (Thursday, June 6th) for an alleged offence contrary to Section 10(1) of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997 as amended by Section 23 of the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023, Stalking.
The male is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the North Western Region.
As this is an ongoing criminal investigation, An Garda Síochána say they have no further comment at this time.
