A 33-year-old man accused of drugs offences was sent forward for trial at Roscommon District Court last week.

Thomas Reynolds, 18 Thornfield Drive, Lisnamult, Roscommon, is charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of sale or supply at 8 Jubilee Close on April 20th, 2023, as well as simple possession of cannabis at the same date and location.

State Solicitor for County Roscommon, Kieran Madigan said he served the book of evidence on the accused and his solicitor Sean Mahon before the court.

Judge James Faughnan sent the accused forward for trial at the next sitting of Roscommon Circuit Court.

He gave Mr Reynolds the standard alibi warning, telling him that if he intended to rely on the evidence of an alibi, notice must be given to the prosecution within 14 days of being served with the book of evidence.
