Man arrested in connection with suspected arson attack on County Roscommon home

A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack on a home in Roscommon Town in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Extensive damage was caused to the front of the house during the incident, which occurred in the Lisnamult area at about 4 a.m. on Saturday morning.
It’s understood that there were people in the house at the time but no-one was injured.
A Garda spokesperson said that a man was arrested in connection with the investigation and released without charge.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations are ongoing.
