A 21-year-old man has been sent forward to Roscommon Circuit Court on a signed plea of guilty to a money laundering offence.

Ismail Magomayev, 5 Ard Na Rí, Racecourse Road, Roscommon Town, appeared before Judge Vincent Deane at Roscommon District Court charged with the offence, which happened on February 21st, 2025.

Mr Magomayev is before the court for engaging in converting, transferring, handling, acquiring, possessing or using property, namely €16,500, to an AIB bank account, while knowing or being reckless as to whether the property was the proceeds of criminal conduct.

State Solicitor for County Roscommon Kieran Madigan told the court that a book of evidence had been due to be served at the sitting, but he had been informed that the accused was going forward on a signed plea.

Judge Deane sent Mr Magomayev forward for trial.
