Brendan Coyle, with an address at Tully, Kilglass, County Roscommon, had pleaded guilty in February 2025 to possession of thousands of euro from the proceeds of crime as well as possession of cannabis.
The court had heard that following a search of a property at Mullaghmacormack, Roosky on October 12th, 2023, €14,730 in cash, the proceeds of crime, was found by gardaí in the accused’s possession as well as €100 worth of cannabis.
The case had been put back for a probation report to be completed.
The case appeared recently before Judge James Faughnan who was informed that the accused was suitable for community service.
He handed down 130 hours community service in lieu of three months’ imprisonment.
