Man sustains ‘life-threatening' injuries after Castlerea road traffic collision
The Castlerea to Williamstown road remains closed following Thursday morning's road traffic collision.
A man in his forties has sustained “life-threatening” injuries following a road traffic collision in Castlerea earlier on Thursday.
The collision, which involved a motorbike and a tractor, took place at Creggaslin, Castlerea, shortly after 11.55 a.m..
In a statement to the , Gardaí said that: “A male (aged in his 40s) was brought to University Hospital Galway for injuries believed to be life-threatening.
“The road (R361 Castlerea to Williamstown road) is currently closed, local diversions are in place.
“Investigations are ongoing,” concluded the statement.
