Mass of Remembrance to mark 50 years of local mart
For half a century, Castlerea Co-Operative Livestock Mart has been part of the fabric of the town and farming community.
A Mass of Remembrance will take place at Castlerea Co-Operative Livestock Mart on Tuesday evening to celebrate a special milestone in the mart’s history and recognise its vital role in both the local farming community and the town.
The Mass will be celebrated in Ring One at the mart on Tuesday, September 1st, at 7 p.m., remembering all those who have been part of the mart's story over the past 50 years.
For half a century, Castlerea Co-Operative Livestock Mart has been part of the fabric of the town and farming community, a place where generations have met, traded, chatted and shared many a story.
The event will mark 50 years of the mart and provide an opportunity to remember those who have been involved with Castlerea Mart throughout its history.
Anyone with a connection to Castlerea Mart, past or present, is warmly invited to attend the Mass.
Refreshments will be served afterwards, with organisers looking forward to seeing familiar faces and sharing memories as the mart celebrates the landmark anniversary.
