Mayo gardaí arrest three men in relation to alleged serious assault
Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 67 year-old Nicholas Taylor who is missing from Charlestown since Tuesday
Gardaí in Co Mayo have arrested three men in relation to an alleged serious assault that took place in Castlebar in the early hours of Saturday, August 23rd.
The three, who were arrested this morning, Tuesday, are currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at stations in the Garda North Western Region.
A man injured in this incident, aged in his 20s, remains in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.
On the night in question at about 2.50 a.m., gardaí received a report of a male unconscious after an alleged assault outside a licensed premises on Tucker Street in the town.
Investigations are ongoing.
