Motorists warned of N4 traffic delays next week

Motorists are being warned to expect traffic delays on the N4 at Carrick-on-Shannon next week due to works ongoing on the bridge in the town.
A notice from the local authority states "Leitrim County Council will be carrying out lighting works on the arches of the N4 bridge in Carrick-on-Shannon between 19th Feb – 23rd February 2024. Works will take place between 10am -3pm daily.
"Due to the nature of the works and equipment required to carry out the works, it will be necessary to close one of the bridge's lanes during these hours.
"A stop / go traffic management plan will be in place while the works are ongoing.
"Leitrim County Council regrets any inconvenience that this temporary lane closure may cause."
