New Dáil grouping established
Michael Fitzmaurice is held aloft following his successful re-election on the first count at the recent general election.
A new Independent Technical Group has been officially established.
The group will include Michael Collins TD, Michael Fitzmaurice TD, Richard O’Donoghue TD, Ken O’Flynn TD, Paul Gogarty TD, Michael Healy-Rae TD, and Danny Healy-Rae.
"By forming this technical group, we are ensuring that independent voices are amplified in the Dáil, and we can better advocate for the needs of the people we represent,” said Michael Collins, Leader of Independent Ireland.
The Independent Technical Group is currently in discussions with other Independent TDs who may join the grouping before the commencement of the next Dáil.
"This expansion will further strengthen the group’s capacity to influence policy and hold the government accountable," the party said.
