New pedestrian crossing planned for County Roscommon town

A new pedestrian crossing is being planned for Roscommon Town.
The crossing will be located near Hynes’s Pharmacy on Castle Street.
The project involves the construction of a raised table pedestrian crossing, new footpaths, new road markings and the installation of new road signage to alert motorists and enhance overall safety in the area.
Plans can be inspected at the offices of Roscommon County Council, Áras an Chontae or online on the council’s public consultation portal.
A submission or observation in relation to the proposed development can be made before September 26th via the council’s public consultation portal or alternatively in writing or email to the council.
