Official opening of new business bringing a personal touch to Roscommon 

A long-held dream has become a reality for Roscommon woman Louise Jameson, whose new Serendipity Lingerie Boutique in Roscommon Town is already becoming known as much for its warm welcome as for its carefully chosen stock.

Located at Unit 2, Chapel Lane, the boutique opened last April and has since attracted a growing clientele from across County Roscommon and neighbouring counties in the west. For Louise, Serendipity is more than a place to shop: it is a welcoming space where women can find comfort, confidence and conversation.

Today, Saturday, September 26th, Louise will mark the official opening of the store from 12.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 12.30 p.m., with goodies and spot prizes available throughout the day.

The opening is the fulfilment of an ambition Louise had carried for years. She had always hoped to run her own ladies’ lingerie boutique, but the timing never felt right until earlier this year.

Having worked in Donnellans of Roscommon for  just over six years, Louise developed a real passion for the trade. When Paula Donnellan retired and the business closed, Louise decided to take the leap and open a boutique of her own.

“That was the push I needed,” said Louise. The name she chose, Serendipity, reflects that turning point that opened the door to a new chapter.

At the heart of the business is a personal service that Louise believes is especially important for customers preparing for milestone occasions. “If someone has an important occasion coming up, we can get the right garments for them,” she said.

“From brides, bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, to the mother of the groom, no matter who it is, I do my best to cater for everybody. We have a wide variety of stock here at the moment,” Louise added.
