It was a day of high fashion combined with glitz and glamour for Ladies’ Day at Roscommon Races on Monday.

It was the biggest fixture of the year at Roscommon Racecourse, not just for the racing but also for the style that was on show on the day.

Sponsored by SuperValu the Best Dressed Competition saw the winner receiving a cash prize of €1,200. The runner-up got a €500 voucher for Michael K Diamonds, and third-place winner received €200. The remaining finalists each received €100.

Guest judge on the day was Lisa Gallogly.

Lisa is the founder and owner of Faizie Maizie Accessories, a Roscommon-based online jewellery boutique that has grown into a highly recognised and successful brand.

Faizie Maizie jewellery has been worn by models, featured on television programmes nationwide, and chosen by a number of leading influencers.

The brand has also become a popular choice among brides and Ladies Day winners, thanks to its stylish, versatile collections that complement both special occasions and everyday elegance.
Roscommon Lisa is the proud mum of three wonderful kids. Talking about her amazing success she stated, “Before starting this journey, I spent over a decade working in finance.

“But when my little ones arrived, I made the decision to step away from my career to focus on raising them.
“For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of starting my own business. I talked about it endlessly, imagined all the possibilities, and planned it in my head — but fear always held me back.

“So, for years, I let life take over, and my dream stayed just that — a dream.
“Then, in 2022, with the support (and probably a little push!) from my husband, I finally took the leap. I poured my heart into creating something meaningful, something that brings joy to others, and Faizie Maizie was born.

“Starting a business isn’t easy, but what has truly kept me going is the incredible support from my family, friends, and my amazing customers," she added.

“Our Ladies Day was a wonderful social occasion, and it was the ideal venue for friends and family to come and enjoy a great evening of sport. We also had fantastic racing and all the major yards in the country had runners here," said racecourse manager Michael Finneran.

Huge congratulations to Leah Kelly of Sligo who was crowned SuperValu Best Dressed Lady.
Anne Regan from Mayo was also placed second while third place winner was Leah Hoey of Roscommon.
Photographer Michelle Hughes Walsh was on hand to capture all the fabulous fashion on the day.
