Popular Family Resource Centre Manager bids farewell to take on new role

Louise has extended a big thank you to the FRC team who put the tree up and donned Christmas jumpers in August, so she could have one last FRC Christmas
The popular manager of the Family Resource Centre in Boyle is bidding an emotional farewell to take on a new role with Tusla, the national agency for child and family services.
Louise Moran steps down from her post this Friday after 22 years as manager to become Tusla’s Young People’s Services Committee Coordinator for County Roscommon.
Paying tribute to all stakeholders, staff and volunteers in a social media message, she said: “I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for the incredible support you have shown the centre and I throughout this time. There have been many changes since I set foot in ‘Boyle Family Life Centre’ on September 1st 2003.
“Together, we have faced these many changes and some challenges, even times of real crisis, and on each occasion, the community has stood by us. That support has been the foundation that allowed us to keep moving forward and making a difference. The strength, generosity, and belief of this community has never wavered, and it has been a privilege to serve here in Boyle.
“Over the course of those years, Boyle Family Life Centre became Boyle Family Resource Centre, a registered charity and company. Boyle FRC is now also the proud owner of our two buildings on Military Road. For this, I wish to sincerely thank both the Boyle Parish and Diocese of Elphin and the Boyle Church of Ireland Parishes for their vision, support and belief in the work we do.
“To the Board of Management, past and present, my deepest thanks for your guidance and support. In particular, I want to remember with gratitude Evelyn O’Donnell, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Evelyn gave so much of her time, wisdom, and care to Boyle FRC, and her contribution will not be forgotten “Over the years, there have been hundreds of volunteers who have given their time, energy, and commitment. Without them, Boyle FRC would not be in a position to provide the level of service it has delivered & delivers to the community. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
“If you are ever looking for a way to create positive change in your community, I encourage you to consider joining a committee, a board, or volunteering your time, you can make a real difference.
“I would also like to extend my gratitude to all the Family Resource Centres I have worked with over the years, right across the country. It has been an honour to work alongside you, and a privilege to serve as your chairperson and supporting the work of the Family Resource Centre National Forum in supporting, strengthening and empowering communities across the country.
“To the wonderful staff, both past and present: you have been and are the heart of Boyle FRC. Your dedication, compassion, and professionalism have touched countless lives. Time and again, you have gone above and beyond, not just to deliver services, but to make every person who walked through our doors feel valued, supported, and heard. I cannot thank you enough for your loyalty, your hard work, and your belief in what we do. It has been one of the greatest honours to work alongside such an extraordinary team.
“I also want to acknowledge our many partners, collaborators, and funders over the years. Your support, resources, and belief in our mission made it possible for us to deliver vital services and to grow in ways that truly met the needs of the community. This work has always been a shared effort, and I am deeply grateful for the trust and cooperation that helped us achieve so much together.
“While I am leaving my role, the work is far from finished and I hope the years ahead bring continued growth, continued improvements to the lives of children, young people, adults and families in our communities and most importantly compassion, respect and empowerment. With gratitude and warmest regards, Louise."
