One of Roscommon’s most popular club and county players are getting married later on Friday.

It’s a case of Clann na nGael teaming up with Roscommon Gaels as Orla O’Neill and John McManus are set for one of the biggest days of their lives.

Daughter of Eithne and Terry O’Neill, Orla O’Neill has played a huge part in the Clann na nGael’s recent senior football championship successes, captaining the team to the county title in 2022.

She is currently part of the Roscommon intermediate ladies’ football panel, having made her debut earlier this year.

John McManus — son of Roscommon legend Tony, and Marie McManus — has been an integral part of various Roscommon Gaels and Roscommon teams. He was recalled into the county senior football panel this season by Davy Burke on the back of a hugely productive 2024 for the Gaels.

The happy couple will be married in Keadue, with the wedding reception taking place in Kilronan Castle.

Clann na nGael, in a post on social media, wished Orla and John “a lifetime of love, luck and happiness” on their special day.
