SEALED WITH A KISS: Ella welcomed back to Ballintubber by proud grandmother

Roscommon ladies' footballer, Ella Thompson, being greeted by her grandmother, Mary Finn, in Ballintubber on Monday evening.

The Roscommon intermediate ladies’ footballers have been celebrating their historic All-Ireland success in Croke Park by visiting clubs around the county this week.

There have been emotional scenes in every part of the county as players meet up with family and friends in town, villages and GAA grounds where their love for the game was nourished.

One of Roscommon’s star performers, Ella Thompson, was greeted by her grandmother Mary Finn as the homecoming celebrations continued in Ballintubber on Monday evening.

The St. Croan’s defender was magnificent for the Rossies, and her adoring, proud grandmother let Ella know how she felt when they were reunited earlier this week.
