Search for missing woman stood down after body found in South Roscommon

An extensive search for a missing Athlone woman has been stood down after a woman's body was found in South Roscommon earlier today, Monday.
58-year-old Mirjana Pap was reported missing from her home on Saturday, December 28th. She was last seen in Athlone in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Over the last twenty four hours, Gardaí had concentrated their search in a specific area near Bealnamulla where a body was discovered this evening.
During the public appeal for information on her whereabouts, Gardaí and Mirjana's family had serious concerns for her well-being.
Gardaí have thanked the public and media for their assistance.
