Search stood down as missing Roscommon man found safe and well

The search for missing Knockcroghery man Thomas Egan has been stood down after he was found safe and well.

Gardaí confirmed the news this evening, Tuesday.

36-year-old Mr Egan was reported missing from Ballymurray, Knockcroghery, since Sunday, October 12th.

He was seen on Friday, October 10th at approximately 2.35 p.m., cycling from Knockcroghery towards Athlone.

There was a further sighting of him in Birr, County Offaly on Monday afternoon, October 13th.

An Garda Síochána thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
