Special thanksgiving Mass in Leitrim village following recent tornado

A special Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church in Leitrim village this evening in “thanksgiving for no loss of life and no serious injury” as a result of the recent freak tornado that devastated local homes and businesses.
A social media post on the Leitrim Village Community Facebook Page confirmed that Fr. Séamus O'Rourke would celebrate the Mass tonight at 8 p.m.. this evening.
“Things could have turned out so much worse, although the damage was bad enough.
Life is precious. Please spread the word,” said the post.
