A charity darts event for Hannah Victory, who is battling cancer, took place in the Hollywood Bar, Roscommon Town on Saturday afternoon, July 4th.

Hannah Victory (18) from Tonlegee, Fourmilehouse, was studying for her Leaving Cert this year at Roscommon Community College when her life was turned upside down with the devastating diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumour.

A total of 64 people turned up to show their support for Hannah on Wednesday.

The charity event on Saturday involved the staging of blind doubles darts competition and a raffle on the day with 20 plus vouchers and hampers up for grabs.

Auctions were held for some excellent prizes - a Roscommon jersey signed by the Nestor Cup winning team, darts shirts signed by Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson, a chance to play former World Champion Rob Cross at the upcoming Ballygar Carnival and a scenic flight from Tibohine Airfield.

Roscommon Darts thanked everyone for their support on social media:

"We have 64 amazing people here today, all coming together to raise money for a girl we all know and love – Hannah Victory and the Victory family who are engrained in Roscommon Darts.

"The support, generosity, and spirit shown by everyone is what makes our darts community so special! Thank you to everyone for being here and for making a difference."
