Trailer and hayseed worth €4,700 stolen in County Roscommon

Gardaí are investigating the theft of a trailer and 25 bags of hayseed.
A trailer and 25 bags of hayseed worth a total of €4,700 have been stolen in a daring raid in South Roscommon.
It’s understood a boundary fence was pulled down, wire cut, and posts removed to gain access and to remove the trailer, which is described as a double axel two cattle box Murphy Aerlite.
On May 8th at approximately 11 p.m., the trailer was stolen from a slip road on the side of the M6 motorway eastbound (location E68) at Meehanabee, Drum, Athlone, County Roscommon.
The trailer is valued at approximately €3,000 (serial number 206). There were 25 bags of hayseed, worth €1,700, in the back of the trailer.
