Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa has won a number of prestigious medals having been named Ireland’s Best Four Star Hotel 2024 at the Gold Medal Awards and also winning gold for the Best Hotel Accommodation at the CIE Tours Annual Awards of Excellence.

The Virgin Media Gold Medal Awards are the independent awards for the Irish hospitality industry and aim to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the hotel and catering sector throughout the country over the past twelve months.

Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa scooped two awards on the night, winning gold for Ireland’s Best Four Star Hotel and bronze in Ireland’s Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant category.

Commenting on the awards Andrew McGovern, Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa General Manager stated: “We are thrilled to be named Ireland’s Best 4 Star Hotel and to have a bronze award in the Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant category. The awards are a result of an incredible amount of dedication and commitment from all our incredible teams across the hotel, whose commitment to excellence and customer service have certainly paid dividends."

Meanwhile the hotel was also awarded gold for ‘best hotel accommodation’ at this year’s CIE Tours Annual Awards of Excellence for its luxurious accommodation as “its four-post beds and antique furniture give guests a wonderful relaxation experience.”

Congratulating the attendees, chairman of CIÉ Tours Aidan Murphy said: “Our honourees are exemplary contributors to our 95.4% guest satisfaction rate, and they all deserve recognition for the excellent roles they play in welcoming visitors to Ireland and ensuring they have a memorable experience”.

Our support for tourism destinations is bringing vital revenue to towns and villages across the country. We are delighted to honour these leaders in tourism in Roscommon.
