Two local men selected as Rose of Tralee escorts 

Kaylem Holian, Roscommon Town and Patrick Murray, Williamstown, were both selected as escorts for this year’s Rose of Tralee.

Both men took part in the Bootcamp for escorts earlier this year.

Kaylem Holian, son of Tom and Edwina, and works as a personal trainer at Snap Fitness studio in the town. The 24-year-old is sponsored by Snap Fitness for his Tralee experience.

“I graduated from LIT with a Bachelors of Science in Strength and Conditioning and currently work as a Personal trainer and Pilates instructor in Roscommon,” Kaylem said.

“I enjoy getting involved in my local community, particularly by visiting local clubs and supporting youth development initiatives. Helping others achieve their goals, whether through fitness or community involvement, is something I find very rewarding.

“Outside of work, I have a keen interest in sport, enjoy meeting friends for coffee, and love spending time at social events. I value staying active, connecting with people, and making the most of every opportunity to get involved in my community.” 

Patrick Murray hails from Williamstown, and works as a supervising pharmacist in Garvey’s Pharmacy, Glenamaddy.

It will be Patrick’s second time as an escort following his debut last year, and he is being sponsored by Heneghan’s SuperValu, Glenamaddy. The 30-year-old has an interest in sport and Irish traditional music, and is currently the vice chairperson of Galway Comhaltas.

“I love sport and music, particularly GAA and Irish traditional music. I was a Rose Escort previously in 2025. Currently I'm preparing to play a lead role of the musical 'Sunshine on Leith' with Glenamaddy Musical society,” he said. “I am the vice chairperson of Galway Comhaltas and have been involved with Comhaltas and Fleadh Cheoils for many years. Looking forward to being an escort again and to be back in Tralee for an incredible experience.
