Two Roscommon women are featuring in this year’s 2024 Rose of Tralee Rose of Tralee International Festival, which culminates in the live finals on RTÉ on Monday and Tuesday.
27-year-old Ballyforan native Rachel Hastings is representing Roscommon while Glenna Mannion (28) from Tulsk is the London Rose.
Rachel is a lecturer in St Angela's College, Sligo and Glenna, who has been living in London for the past eight years, is a deputy manager and service coordinator of a residential home for young people with autism.
On Monday and Tuesday evening, hosts Dáithí Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas will take over the Dome in Tralee to present the 2024 Rose of Tralee selection nights live on RTÉ.
Both Rachel and Glenna will be appearing on stage on the second night of the finals (Tuesday), in tenth and eight place respectively in the running order.
Over the two nights, the International Roses will take to the stage in a bid to impress the judges.
