Updated: Schools close due to Storm Bram
Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange wind warnings for the entire country.
A number of schools in the area have closed today due to Storm Bram.
Abbey Community College in Boyle is closed due to the deterioration in predicted weather conditions while St Nathy's College in Ballaghaderreen has also closed due to the weather warning.
Drumshanbo Vocational and Carrick-on-Shannon Community School also closed.
St Michael's National School in Castlerea is closed while St Paul's NS in Castlerea has advised it would open and will check weather updates regularly. In the case of a red weather alert all schools must close and children be collected immediately.
Gorthaganny N.S. will close at 12 p.m. today due to Storm Bram.
Tarmon NS has also closed.
