Works on level crossing welcomed
The issue was raised at a meeting of the Roscommon Municipal District.
Works carried out on a level crossing near Ballymoe have been welcomed by Independent councillor Michael Holland.
Cllr Holland told a recent meeting of the Roscommon Municipal District that he initially raised the matter with Roscommon County Council, which then contacted Irish Rail. The tarring works required at the level crossing at Ballycahir, Ballymoe, have now been completed.
The councillor thanked the council for its assistance and noted that, before the works were carried out, driving across the level crossing "would shake the teeth in your head".
