A young Curraghboy woman is set to showcase a day in her life on her sheep farm to primary school students virtually this week.
Aoife Coyle is one of six farmers taking part in Agri Aware’s Come Farm With Me series. Aoife will showcase what life is like on her sheep farm, where now lambing is in full swing.
Taking place on Friday, March 28th at 11 a.m., primary school students will get to see a pre-recorded video of a typical day in the life on her sheep farm, before joining students live on the webinar to answer any questions they may have.
The Come Farm With Me series, which launched in September 2024, has so far seen farmers across the country, from beef, dairy, pig, tillage and vegetable backgrounds, educate students about Irish agriculture and food production and the importance each sector plays in producing quality sustainable food.
So far, over 30,000 students have joined live on the Come Farm With Me series, with Aoife the last farmer for this year to showcase her farming enterprise.
Aoife, who farms alongside her parents will be showing students everything that is currently happening on the farm from lambing ewes, to letting ewes and lamb out to grass and all the normal daily tasks in between.
