St. Brigid’s is on the lookout for a new senior ladies’ football manager following the departure of Niall Mackey.

Mackey led Brigid’s to last year’s senior championship title, becoming the first club to win the new Marie McAleer Cup. However, they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage by St. Dominic’s this season.

The club has paid tribute to their outgoing manager, adding that the panel of players and Mackey forged some unbelievable memories over the last two years.

“Niall has integrated himself seamlessly into the fabric of our club, and he will be missed. We would also like to thank the backroom team of our senior ladies over the past two seasons, for their efforts and commitment.

“Lastly, we would like to thank Niall's wife Ann Marie, and their young family for the support they have brought to our team. We wish Niall and his family all the best in the future,” said the club.
