County Roscommon swimmer hoping to make a splash at European Championships in Paris

A County Roscommon swimmer will add to his experience on the international stage when he takes part in next week’s European Aquatics Championships in Paris.
Arigna native, Cormac Rynn, is part of the Irish team hoping to make a splash at the championships, which get underway on Monday.
Rynn is in action on the opening day when he competes in the 4 x 200 metres freestyle relay.
On Thursday, August 13th, he competes in the 200 metres freestyle before rounding off his competition on Sunday week, August 16th, in the 400 metres freestyle.
Rynn is no stranger to the international stage, having represented his country at European and World level.
His team-mates included Olympic medallist Mona McSharry and Daniel Wiffin.
A former underage footballer with St. Ronan’s GAA Club and rugby player with Carrick RFC, Cormac’s love for swimming started at an early age before he joined Trident Swim Club in Carrick-on-Shannon.
In recent years, he has been part of NCL (National Centre Limerick)
Son of Harry and Fiona Rynn, he has one older sister, Aoibhe, and two brothers, Eoghan and Donnacha.
