Roscommon youth darts are gearing up for a truly special occasion next weekend when they proudly take part in the inaugural Connacht Cup.
The competition marks an exciting new chapter for the sport in County Roscommon, and coaches and parents couldn’t be prouder of the young players who will step up to the oche to represent their county on such a big stage.
Over the past number of months, these youths have shown outstanding commitment, discipline and passion, attending training on a weekly basis, working hard to hone their skills. Their dedication has been matched by the incredible support of their parents and the tireless work of volunteers — a team effort that shows the very best of community spirit.
This season has been particularly special as the new Roscommon Youth Darts Academy, now based at Ballinaheglish Community Centre, has gone from strength to strength. The centre has provided a fantastic new home for the game, offering young players the perfect venue to develop their talents and love for darts.
Roscommon Darts extends a huge congratulations to the 24 youth players who have earned their place to represent Roscommon at the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon, next Saturday.
Every player has worked extremely hard to secure their spot, coming through tough competition against a strong and determined group of young players from across the county.
The very best of luck is also extended to the county’s women's and men's teams, who will also be competing next weekend alongside the new county board who are doing great work behind the scenes for the betterment of darts in Roscommon.
Finally, Roscommon Darts thanks its sponsors. Their continued support is appreciated and make it possible to ensure a sound future for the Roscommon Youth Darts Academy.
Support for Roscommon teams next weekend would be appreciated.
