Cathal Heneghan is set to be available for next month’s Connacht senior football championship semi-final against Mayo or New York at Dr. Hyde Park.

The Roscommon Herald understands that Heneghan has received a one match ban following an incident with Kerry defender, Jason Foley, during last Sunday’s Division One Football League game at Dr. Hyde Park.

It means that the Michael Glaveys forward will miss next Sunday’s crucial league game against Derry at Celtic Park where the Rossies need a win to have any hope of avoiding the drop to Division Two.

It remains to be seen whether Heneghan accepts the proposed suspension or requests a personal hearing.
