Ruaidhrí Fallon is a major doubt for Roscommon's Connacht SFC quarter-final against New York in Gaelic Park.
The St. Brigid's defender picked up an ankle injury shortly after he was introduced against Donegal and, while not as bad as first feared, Roscommon manager Mark Dowd stated that the AIB Club Footballer of the Year nominee would, most likely, miss the game Stateside.
Fallon's St. Brigid's team-mate, Eddie Nolan, will miss the rest of season as he requires surgery on his injured ankle.
However, there was better news on the recoveries of Brian Stack (rib) and Cian McKeon (ankle), with Dowd hopeful that both players will see championship action at some stage over the coming weeks.
