A former Roscommon club and county star has landed a new managerial role in County Longford.
Frankie Dolan, who has trained Roscommon Gales for the last couple of years, leading them to an O’Rourke Cup title in 2023, is the new manager of the Abbeylara senior squad.
The former St. Brigid’s clubman, who has extensive coaching experience, won an All-Ireland club title in 2013.
He is no stranger to club football in Longford and played a part in Ballymahon’s historic first senior football championship success back in 2002.
