Roscommon forward Cian McKeon has returned to full training ahead of this year's Connacht Senior Football Championship, which gets underway for the Rossies against New York in Gaelic Park on Sunday week.
Manager Mark Dowd confirmed the welcome news at the launch of this year's provincial championship at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan on Thursday afternoon.
The Boyle forward hasn't featured since picking up a nasty ankle injury during the dying embers of last January's FBD League defeat against Mayo at King and Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park.
It's unlikely that McKeon will be risked for the trip Stateside, and the same will apply to St. Brigid's defender, Ruaidhrí Fallon, who picked up an ankle injury during the victory against Donegal a few weeks ago.
Dowd also confirmed that Brian Stack is making "steady progress" on the rib injury he sustained during St. Brigid's All-Ireland club football semi-final victory against Scotstown in early January.
However, Eddie Nolan will be sidelined for the remainder of the season as he's due to undergo surgery on an injured ankle.
