St. Faithleach’s Diarmuid Murtagh has been nominated for the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) Player of the Month award for April.

The Roscommon forward is one of three nominees after helping Roscommon to a pair of championship wins over New York and Mayo.

His performance against Mayo in particular caught the eye as he kicked 1-10 in helping Roscommon to a rousing 2-25 to 1-18 victory.

Odhran Murdock (Down) and Westmeath’s Luke Loughlin are also nominated for the award.
