In 2016, six-year-old Jayden Jennings was carried shoulder-high by his heroes in Primrose and Blue, Kevin Higgins and Cathal Shine.
On Friday evening, following Roscommon’s historic Connacht MFC final triumph against Galway in Tuam Stadium, Jayden was, once again, carried shoulder-high by his uncle and uncle-in-law — this time as a provincial champion, just like Kevin and Cathal were during their playing days.
As the saying goes, “success runs in the family”.
