Laois referee Kevin Phelan will take charge of Roscommon’s TG4 All Ireland intermediate LGFA final with Fermanagh on August 2.

Phelan, who was the man in the middle for Roscommon’s win over Down in the group stages of the championship, is looking forward to his second experience of the big day with the whistle.

From the St Brigid’s LGFA club in Laois, and also a member of the Barrowside men’s club, Phelan was the referee for the 2019 TG4 All-Ireland Junior decider between Louth and Fermanagh.

Among Phelan’s assignments to date in 2026 were Dublin v Kerry, Armagh v Dublin and Cork v Galway in Division 1 of the Lidl National League.

More recently, he was in charge of the ZuCar All-Ireland U-18 ‘A’ semi-final between Cork and Dublin.

Eoghan O’Neill of Kildare has been selected as fourth official for the game while Meath’s Angela Gallagher has been named as Stand By Referee.

Cavan’s Maggie Farrelly has been selected to referee the TG4 All Ireland Senior final between Galway and Kerry, her third senior decider to take charge of.
